Restoring Wedding Gowns with Sanitone Platinum®
Your customers will be amazed at what you can do to restore their memories!
Discolored, aged and soiled wedding gowns can easily be “brought back to life” using Sanitone Platinum Advanced or Platinum EXtra Laundry Detergent.
Whether being cleaned shortly after first use or after long or improper storage, nearly all wedding gowns will greatly benefit from being wet cleaned with Platinum.
Platinum contains multiple enzymes, gentle surfactants, dye stabilizers, color-safe bleach and low-temperature activators which produce superior results, even in the low temperatures required for expensive, multi-fabric and/or beaded wedding gowns.
Remove difficult stains such as lipstick, makeup, heavy food stains and heavily soiled hemlines prior to wetcleaning using the appropriate Stamford spotting agents such as SPOL, Spot Buster or LPS.
Whether soaking in an individual container or using a modern wetcleaning machine, use 4 ounces of Platinum per gallon of water.
Use a water temperature commensurate with the safety of the fabric, usually between 85°F and 110°F. Soak for up to 24 hours with occasional and gently agitation. Rinse, thoroughly several times to remove all detergent and then use a finishing agent such as Sanitone Revitalize to enhance the surface finish of the gown and to facilitate finishing.
